Is it true that there is no longer a point cap? It used to be that you could not go over 999999999999 points, and if you did, you started all over with 0. But I've noticed shark now has over a trillion.

This is probably due to a new feature in PHP Version 5.0. Earlier versions had no tolerance for single integers over 96 bits in length, and that has most likely been lifted in PHP 5.

If someone went over 99999999 points, wuldn'tit just go to 10000000000 points?

Why would there be a cap on the number of points someone could get on the zone?

what does it matter, you can't do anything with them anyways, I kind of wish we could play eachother for them, you know poker or something, that would be fun.

Well, you can transfer points to others now. A friend and I are currently betting 1000000 points on a basketball game between two colleges. So you could do things like that with them.

Again, the cap was there because 999999999999 is a 12-digit number, which means that it's 96 bits long. Earlier versions of PHP (the programming language in which the site is coded) did not tolerate anything longer than this. PHP 5.0 lifts this limitation.

Interesting theory, but not really correct. The old limit if I recall was 2 billion. Not sure what the theoretical limit is now, but doubt it'll be hit for a long time.
